David Archuleta Live In Concert
David Archuleta Live In Concert was a concert tour by American Idol season 7 runner up David Archuleta to promote his self-titled debut album David Archuleta. The tour started on February 24, 2009 and ended on March 27, 2009. This was his first solo tour. Label-mate Lesley Roy acted as his opening act for the majority of the venues.
The month-long tour consisted of mostly small general assembly venues such as clubs, bars, and civic centers with a few larger venues at arenas. All shows took place in the United States and a one promo-tour concert in the Philippines, the only country he toured outside USA, together with David Cook as an opening and main act there.[1]
Set list
The set list consisted mostly of songs from Archuleta's debut album with several extra songs. One song, "Zero Gravity" is an unreleased song written by Archuleta and his band guitarist Mike Krompass while recording the album. It was later cut by the record label but did not make the album. Archuleta added the song to the set list and it was met with rave reviews by fans and critics alike. "Medley of Love" was a medley of "One" by U2, "You Gotta Be" by Des'ree, "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles and "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. He also performed "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton. During the San Antonio concert he sang "Como la Flor" by Selena after the audience requested he sing a song in Spanish. He then added it to his set list and performed it at the rest of the concerts.
